Enjoy Life... and Polka Dots!

OK, so I was just havin' a bit of fun with this one. I needed to come up with a card that used this set and used a jumbo wheel for the promo. I didn't have the jumbo wheel that went with the set so I settled for using the Rough Texture Jumbo Wheel for the background. I used the 1 3/4" Circle Punch then I distressed the edges of the circles with the cutting kit distress tool. I used the Crafters Kit to punch the holes around the "enjoy". I then used the double circle punch to attach the turquoise ribbon, then used a turquoise brad in the center of the "O". Fairly easy, just a lot of different tools. Here is a list of the supplies I used...

  • stamps: Rough Texture Jumbo Wheel, Enjoy Every Moment
  • paper: Sahara Sand, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Whisper White
  • ink: Sahara Sand, Old Olive, Basic Black
  • accessories: turquoise grosgrain, turquoise brad, dimensionals, Crafter's Tool Kit, distressing tool, double circle punch, 1 3/4" circle punch

Pink & Brown Birdie

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this set!! Did I mention I love this set? LOL! I think there are so many different ways to use it. You can make something elegant, distressed, or just plain and simple. Whatever you want, it works with this set! Very, very versatile! I did this card for my monthly stamp club. I had been dying to use my Build-A-Brads so I finally got to! Since it was nice weather outside I opted for an outside photo too! So here is a list of the supplies I used...

  • paper: Close to Cocoa, Pretty In Pink, Very Vanilla

  • ink: Basic Brown, Pretty In Pink marker (to color the inside of the bird)

  • accessories" Antique Brass Build-A-Brads, pink gingham ribbon (sponged over with brown ink), cutting tool to distress edges, Stampin' Dimensionals

Look Very Close...

You need to look so very close to see the Whisper White craft ink used on this one. I used the corner rounder on all the edges to give it a softer look. I really like the simple elegance of this card. I took a sponge dauber around the edges with Soft Sky ink to add a bit more color everywhere. Here is a list of the supplies I used...
  • stamps: Priceless
  • ink: Whisper White Craft ink, Soft Sky
  • paper: Whisper White, Soft Sky, Soft Sky Prints Designer Paper
  • accessories: Sponge Dauber, Circle punch, Corner Rounder, Stampin' Dimensionals, Silver Brads

I was planning on making a card for an old challenge, but it didn't go as planned. This is just a super simple card I made using some Basic Grey papers I have and some American Crafts ribbon I had sitting around. Super simple & quick card!

accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals, American Crafts ribbon, Stampin' Up! circle rhinestone brad, and Stampin' Up!'s Flower Fusion kit (awesome flowers to layer)

Thursday's Challenge...

Today it was a Ways to Use It Challenge. You had to make a card that had something to do with music. I couldn't think of anything all morning. I went in my stamp room and just started browsing through my stamps and there it was..."Unfrogettable" I can't even say the name of the stamp set. Every single time I see it, I have to sing the Nat King Cole & Natalie Cole version of the song. So... I sang as I stamped this one. I wish I could figure out how to add a little more detail without overwhelming the card. I love to keep things simple, but this card just looks like it is missing something to me. I stamped the froggie on the prints designer paper and cut him out, then I added his eyeballs later. Here is a list of the supplies I used...

stamp set: Unfrogettable

ink: Basic Black

paper: Prints Designer Series papers, Whisper White, Basic Black

accessories: circle punch, scallop punch, SU grosgrain ribbons, dimensionals
